Manon Balberg

Artist & Slow designer, Corsica - France

At the crossroads of textile craftsmanship and object design, her work explores wool felt as a living language, emphasizing the slowness, precision and poetry of gesture.

Trained in art and design, Manon's creations feature simple lines designed to be timeless and transmissible. She pays particular attention to the quality of materials - 100% natural wool, plastic-free, made in France - and vibrant colors. Her time at the Musée d'art populaire de Laduz, where she worked as a mediator, deeply nourished her vision of toys as objects of transmission and storytelling.

From her workshop in Haute-Corse, she pays particular attention to passing on her technical knowledge. Manon shares her creative world through her online workshops - guided video courses - where she passes on her techniques, values and thoughts to a public of makers, beginners and professionals alike. 

Her online spaces - boutique, filmed workshops and Instagram - become invitations to slow down, create with your hands, and rediscover the simple, profound pleasure of making.

The creations are distributed exclusively through the Balberg.Shop online store.

We ship creations all over the world

It takes 48 to 72 hours to prepare your order. This time varies depending on whether the items ordered are made to order or already in stock.

Of course, you have the statutory period of 14 days after receipt of your order to request a return or exchange here.

Wool doesn't hold odors or dust, so all you need to do for routine maintenance is shake it out or gently pat it. Let it breathe through a window. Nor is wool friendly to dust mites: it is naturally anti-parasitic and anti-fungal.

Balberg shop creations don't require any special cleaning unless you really need it. Here's my advice:
For dry dust: vacuum or brush. 
For stains, use a damp sponge and Marseille soap or a suitable ecological stain remover. Blot up damp stains immediately.
Not machine-washable.

Each mobile or decoration is handmade from high-quality, solid wool felt. Slight variations make each piece unique, a guarantee of authenticity.

I sew, embroider and felt every detail by hand in my workshop in Haute-Corse (France).

The felt and seams are strong to ensure the durability of each item.

    I don't usually make a big fuss about a parcel I've received. But this one, frankly, is too beautiful. The bears are for baby at Christmas. The swallow is for the girls, probably tonight when they get home from school, because they love the story of Thumbelina and I think it was the missing character in their re-enactments& Everything is in organic wool, beautifully hand-stitched, soft and beautiful.   • Undoubtedly the most beautiful toys in the house

    The felt creations were very well received, and the boys were very happy with their animals. The wolf has become the protector of "lapine", Ariel's favorite rabbit doll, and fox sleeps with Armel.
    I was amazed when I discovered the stuffed animals too, because I hadn't opened the pretty packages.
    The bear is for my niece, who will get it in a few weeks.
